SUMMARY:
An Area Sales Manager with extensive FMCG experience is required to maximise sales from Port Elizabeth to George.

POSITION INFO:

REQUIREMENTS:
• Degree
• Business English: Fluent
• Computer literacy (Intermediate)
• Code 10 motor vehicle license
• People management experience
• Travel off-site/overnight stay

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Maximise sales

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implement and manage the Sales execution strategy
• Manage Account Managers and Merchandisers within the area
• Increase profit and sales volumes within the area and within product categories
• Optimise sales execution through maintaining standard operating procedures
• Develop and maintain sound relationships with customers, Key Account Managers, Telesales and Logistics
• Implement and measure short and long term sales drivers
• Manage cost

Implement and control shelf management initiatives
• Liaise with Marketing, Key Account Managers and Principals
• Implement agreed sales programmes
• Control shelf management initiatives
• Reinforce the Company''s merchandising principles
• Monitor inventory levels
• Ensure product availability
• Take action to prevent short dated and expired stock

Enhance performance and team development
• Manage employee performance and development
• Train sub-ordinates according to identified needs
• Develop sales and business skills of Account Managers and Merchandisers
• Coach sub-ordinates to ensure the required standards of sales execution are met
