Accountant

POSITION INFO:

Take ownership of financial accounting and reporting for the branch.
Partner with the General Manager to design and deliver accurate daily, weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports for senior leadership and the executive committee.
Manage the full month-end process including journals, ledger reconciliations, and processing of creditor, cheque, and salary payments.
Perform and maintain accurate bank and other financial reconciliations.
Compile, monitor, and report on operational and capital budgets.
Calculate and analyse cost per unit and provide strategic pricing insights.
Support the General Manager in CAPEX planning, tracking, and analysis.
Ensure compliance with all relevant financial legislation (VAT, UIF, SARS, PAYE, Tax, etc.).
Understand and support supply and demand chain processes as well as quality principles.
Maintain administrative systems necessary for sound financial management.
Apply deep knowledge of financial and control systems to support business performance.
Work with creditors, debtors, and trial balance processes as needed.
Maintain and report from financial management systems with accuracy and efficiency.
Track and manage fixed assets, including depreciation schedules.
Use stock control systems to ensure efficient stock management.
Confidently analyse and report on financial data to support decision-making.

Skills & Experience:
Advanced MS Excel knowledge and skills (Pivot Tables, VLookups, etc) – non negotiable
Minimum 2 -3 years experience

Qualification:
Degree in Finance / NQF6 level
