POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

Bachelors degree needed in Accounting or Finance
5+ Years working experience in an Accounting role
Advanced MS Excel skills including lookups and pivot tables
Hands-on experience with accounting software like SAGE and QuickBooks
Additional certification such as CA(SA) or CMA is a plus
Capture and manage all accounting transactions (cashbook, accounts receivable and accounts payable)
Scrutinize the financial transactions and documents to ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax requirements (identify and resolve discrepancies)
Closure of the monthly accounts in a timely and accurate manner (including month-end journals)
Prepare the monthly account reconciliations (balance sheet and profit and loss)
Prepare the accounts payable reconciliations and month-end payments to ensure accurate and timely payments to suppliers
Prepare the accounts receivable reconciliations and follow up overdue accounts.
Compile and submit the monthly payroll for review, ensuring that all leave transactions are up to date
Maintain employee records
Monitor and report monthly cashflow movements (Foreign currency experience would be a benefit)
Work closely with the auditors to compute taxes and prepare and submit tax returns (income tax, provisional tax, PAYE)
Monitor and ensure the timely completion of timesheets
Prepare and present the monthly management accounts to the management team
Prepare annual budgets for approval
Work closely with the auditors for the preparation and approval of the financial statements
Build trust through accurate and timely capturing and reporting of financial transactions (both internal to the company and external to its stakeholders)
Comply with the financial policies and regulations of the company
Perform the annual review of the insurance policies
