SUMMARY:
The role sits within a diversified group structure, where the restaurant forms one of several operating entities. The restaurant environment is fast-paced, high-volume, and operationally demanding, requiring strong financial control and discipline. As part of a broader group, there is a need for accurate reporting, accountability, and alignment with group finance standards. The position requires close collaboration with on-site operations to ensure tight cost control, stock accuracy, and cash management. This is a highly hands-on role, where finance is deeply embedded in the day-to-day running of the business. We are seeking an individual with grit, resilience, and the ability to thrive under pressure in a demanding environment.

POSITION INFO:

Assist with financial closures
Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts, including detailed analysis of food cost %, labour cost %, and overall profitability
Oversee full stock control function, including stock counts, reconciliations, and investigation of variances, wastage, and shrinkage
Manage supplier relationships, including invoice verification, reconciliations, payment processes, and cost negotiations
Perform daily cash and bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy between POS systems, cash received, and bank deposits
Drive cost management initiatives, monitoring spend, identifying inefficiencies, and improving margins across the restaurant operation
Maintain all financial administration, including creditors, debtors (where applicable), record-keeping, and compliance with tax and statutory requirements
Partner closely with restaurant operations teams, providing financial insights and supporting day-to-day decision-making
Ensure strong internal controls and financial discipline across cash handling, stock Management, and operational processes
Support system integrity and reporting accuracy, working across POS, stock, and accounting systems while identifying process improvements

Qualification:

Finance-related degree
