Accountant with Stockbroking BDA experience essential

ACCOUNTANT with BDA exp
Qualifications

- B Com Accounting or similar qualification

- Proficient in excel

Experience

- 3 – 5 years in an accounting role in a stockbroking environment

- Understanding and experience in using the JSE’s BDA system

To perform the full accounting function from source to trial balance level
Specific duties will include but are not limited to:-

• processing transactions on BDA
• extracting daily trial balance from BDA, TM1
• full debtors and creditors function
• bank recons
• petty cash
• monthly accruals
• intercompany loan balancing
• balance sheet analysis and reconciliations
• updating the fixed assets register
• SARS submissions and payments (VAT, Dividend Tax, STT, PAYE etc)
• year-end audit file preparation
• BEE audit preparation
• updating contracts register
• any other duties that may arise in the course of business
• Annual financial statements preparation
• Liaising with internal and external auditors
