Administrator/Bookkeeper

POSITION INFO:

A bookkeeper/administrator manages a company''''s financial records and provides general administrative support. This role involves tasks like maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices and payments, and assisting with office management and other administrative duties.

Financial Responsibilities:

Record Keeping:

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Reconciliations:

Reconciling bank statements and other accounts to ensure accuracy.
Invoice Processing:

Preparing and processing invoices for clients and customers, as well as managing payments to suppliers.
Financial Reporting:

Assisting with the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
Compliance:

Ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.
Administrative Responsibilities:

Office Management:

Overseeing daily office operations, including managing supplies, equipment, and correspondence.
Data Entry:

Maintaining accurate and organized records, including both financial and administrative data.
Communication:

Handling phone calls, emails, and other forms of communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
Scheduling:

Assisting with scheduling appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements.
Document Management:

Maintaining organized filing systems for both financial and administrative documents.
Support:

Providing administrative support to management and other staff members as needed.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

Accounting and Bookkeeping: Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
Software Proficiency: Experience with SAGE Pastel
Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
Attention to Detail: A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
