Agile Coach required on an initial 6-month contract, to join our client in the city of Edinburgh to help embed Agile principles, processes and practices throughout a well-known organisation with a great reputation.
You will be joining a leading organisation with one of the most innovative agile transformation programmes in Scotland, ongoing over the past three years. They have a large software team of around 80, including Testers, Architects, Business Analysts, Product Owners and Scrum masters. The team is split across Edinburgh and Glasgow, with the majority of the team in Edinburgh. There will however be some requirements to be in Glasgow.
Like many companies they have adapted the agile methodology to suit them, so this role will suit a pragmatic, adaptable individual with a flexible approach and mindset - as doing things exactly by the book is unlikely to succeed across multiple business functions in a large organisation. It is important that you are able to deliver successful agile training and coaching in an engaging manor, whilst having the ability to shift behaviours and competencies throughout the company as a whole.
Key Skills and Experience required:
** An experienced practitioner of Lean/Agile development practices is required to support the teams
** Embed an agile culture using techniques from a wide range or agile and lean methodologies and frameworks.
** Showcase relevant tools and techniques, such as coaching, advising, workshops and mentoring
** Deliver agile training in order to help people learn
** Extensive experience applying Agile principles, processes and practices
** Strong business acumen
** Ability to influence/ change traditional business behaviours
You will be a leading point of contact responsible for championing Agile for an organisation with a great culture and is very driven to change its practices. You will join a hugely motivated and driven team who are keen to do things the right way.
