Our client in the Agricultural sector is looking for Agronomist/Horticulturist with citrus crop experience to join their team in Nelspruit area.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

MSc in Agriculture, specialising in Horticulture or Soil Science
Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in citrus or equivalent crop production/advisory roles
Fluent in Afrikaans and English
Training in data analytics for agriculture would be beneficial
Familiarity with GIS tools or spatial data platforms for orchard mapping and variability tracking
Valid driver's license
Experience with digital platforms for remote sensing, crop modelling, or agronomic recommendations
Proficiency in water and irrigation management-(soil moisture probes, fertigation scheduling, drainage planning, and salt leaching techniques
Understanding of local agricultural legislation, food safety, and environmental compliance frameworks (e.g., GlobalG.A.P., SIZA, DALRRD guidelines)
