Air Imports Manager

POSITION INFO:
My client from a Freight Forwarding Company is seeking an Air Imports Manager to join their team

As the Airfreight Imports Manager, you’ll oversee the complete air import lifecycle—from pre-alert to delivery. This role involves managing airline and agent relations, ensuring customs compliance, and guiding a team through time-sensitive, high-pressure deliveries. You’ll handle quoting, documentation, regulatory processes, and be a key contact for both clients and overseas partners

Matric
5+ years in an airfreight import management role (freight forwarding industry)
Advanced knowledge of South African import regulations, airfreight documentation, and customs practices
Proficiency in ShipShape software (non-negotiable)
Strong grasp of Incoterms, tariff codes, airline protocols, and bonded cargo processes

Valid driver’s license and own transport
Availability for after-hours or weekend cargo releases when needed

A female would be preferred for the position
