Job Title: Analyst – Actuary
Location: Pretoria (Onsite)

Reports To: Senior Manager: Research and Data Analytics

Purpose of the Role

We’re seeking a high-performing Actuarial Analyst to support sustainable healthcare funding, product design, and benefit strategy through predictive analysis and actuarial modelling. You’ll work closely with senior leadership to deliver data-backed insights, financial forecasts, and risk assessments that support long-term planning.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement actuarial models for claims, premiums, and risk assessments
Conduct long-term strategic forecasting, solvency, and pricing impact evaluations
Analyse healthcare trends and support benefit package design
Evaluate cost-effectiveness of clinical interventions and healthcare programmes
Prepare valuations, research reports, and presentations for stakeholders and conferences

Minimum Requirements:

NQF Level 7 qualification in Actuarial Science
Qualified Actuary or completion of A301/F100 exam series
4 years’ experience in actuarial analysis (health or financial services sector)
Strong technical knowledge in actuarial planning and modelling
