We’re looking for an Area Manager to oversee a portfolio of retail stores, drive performance, and ensure operational excellence across your region. The company Head Office is based on Cape Town, with operations throughout SA.

POSITION INFO:
ð Area Manager – Retail Operations (Remote + Travel Required)
Salary: R 600 000 / R 650 000 per annum
Location: Johannesburg / Remote Role (South Africa-based, with regional travel)
Experience: 3+ years in retail store or area management

ð About the Role:
As an Area Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day performance and strategic execution of multiple retail locations. You’ll work closely with store teams to ensure compliance, boost sales, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Note: This role requires regular travel within your assigned region and occasional visits to Cape Town. A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are essential.

â Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and support the operations of multiple retail stores
Monitor store performance and implement improvement strategies
Ensure compliance with company policies, legal standards, and operational procedures
Collaborate with head office teams, including supply chain, HR, and finance
Coach and develop Store Managers and their teams
Conduct regular store visits and audits
Assist with planning and executing regional sales strategies

ð¯ Requirements:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar retail management or Area Manager role
Strong understanding of retail operations, compliance, and performance metrics
Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or a related field (advantageous)
Valid driver’s license and own vehicle (essential)
Willingness to travel regionally and to Cape Town as needed
Confident, self-motivated, and results-driven with strong leadership skills
