Area Manager – Retail Operations (Cape Town, Northern Subs + Travel Required)

We’re looking for an Area Manager to oversee a portfolio of retail stores, drive performance, and ensure operational excellence across your region. The company Head Office is based on Cape Town, with operations throughout SA.

POSITION INFO:
🚀 Area Manager – Retail Operations (Remote + Travel Required)
Salary: R 600 000 / R 650 000 per annum
Location: Johannesburg / Remote Role (South Africa-based, with regional travel)
Experience: 3+ years in retail store or area management

🔍 About the Role:
As an Area Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day performance and strategic execution of multiple retail locations. You’ll work closely with store teams to ensure compliance, boost sales, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Note: This role requires regular travel within your assigned region and occasional visits to Cape Town. A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are essential.

✅ Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and support the operations of multiple retail stores
• Monitor store performance and implement improvement strategies
• Ensure compliance with company policies, legal standards, and operational procedures
• Collaborate with head office teams, including supply chain, HR, and finance
• Coach and develop Store Managers and their teams
• Conduct regular store visits and audits
• Assist with planning and executing regional sales strategies

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar retail management or Area Manager role
• Strong understanding of retail operations, compliance, and performance metrics
• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or a related field (advantageous)
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle (essential)
• Willingness to travel regionally and to Cape Town as needed
• Confident, self-motivated, and results-driven with strong leadership skills
