Duties and Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE / PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Support electricity generation through maintenance on 18 stationary marine type internal combustion engines, utilizing natural gas as fuel. Maintenance activities include but are not limited to maintenance on piston and connecting rod assemblies, lube oil pumps, cylinder heads, turbos, etc.FUNCTIONAL OUTPUTS
• Overhaul of Wärtsilä 20V34SG gas engines as per Quality control plan
• Overhaul of Napier 347 marine turbos
• Service and repair of engine components
• Faultfinding on engine components
• Replacement of damaged parts
• Maintenance on engine flexible couplings
• Lifting of heavy equipment via overhead craneJOB REQUIREMENTS
• Physically fit
• Valid code B license
• Standby and occasional overtime
• Knowledge of emergency procedures
• Computer literacyQualifications
