SUMMARY:

Purpose of the Position

We’re seeking a hands-on, detail-driven Assistant Finance Manager to act as the CFO’s right hand. This dynamic role spans two operating entities, offering a mix of financial operations, compliance, tax, and reporting responsibilities. Ideal for a solutions-focused candidate ready to contribute to a fast-paced, entrepreneurial business environment.

Key Outputs

Prepare books to the trial balance and assist with AFS.
Oversee payroll processing, VAT, provisional tax, and SARS submissions.
Manage cashbook entries, bank recons, and credit card expense tracking.
Monitor stock controls, costing, and inventory accuracy.
Ensure tax and regulatory compliance (EMP201/501, UIF, WCA).
Support audit preparation and group structuring.
Liaise across procurement, logistics, and engineering to align finance with operations.
Track hours and costs per build; ensure correct allocation of components.

Minimum Requirements

BCom in Accounting/Finance or related field.
5+ years’ experience in finance/accounting roles.
Proficient in accounting software and Excel.
Experience in cross-border banking, tax compliance, and multi-entity environments is an advantage.
Clean criminal and credit history.
SA Citizen.
Valid driver's license and own reliable vehicle.
