Assistant Financial Manager (Second-in-Charge) to the CFO

SUMMARY:

Purpose of the Position

Key Outputs

• Prepare books to the trial balance and assist with AFS.
• Oversee payroll processing, VAT, provisional tax, and SARS submissions.
• Manage cashbook entries, bank recons, and credit card expense tracking.
• Monitor stock controls, costing, and inventory accuracy.
• Ensure tax and regulatory compliance (EMP201/501, UIF, WCA).
• Support audit preparation and group structuring.
• Liaise across procurement, logistics, and engineering to align finance with operations.
• Track hours and costs per build; ensure correct allocation of components.

Minimum Requirements

• BCom in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• 5+ years’ experience in finance/accounting roles.
• Proficient in accounting software and Excel.
• Experience in cross-border banking, tax compliance, and multi-entity environments is an advantage.
• Clean criminal and credit history.
• SA Citizen.
• Valid driver's license and own reliable vehicle.
