SUMMARY:
A well-established hospitality property in the Bela-Bela / Modimolle area is looking for an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager / Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in daily operations and uphold exceptional food quality and hygiene standards.
Minimum Requirements:

3–5 years' experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a lodge or hotel
Strong leadership and kitchen coordination abilities
Confident in hot and cold sections, menu execution, and kitchen prep
Solid understanding of food cost control, stock management, and hygiene practices
Culinary qualification beneficial
Passionate, reliable, and team-oriented

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in managing kitchen operations and food preparation
Supervise junior staff and ensure daily mise en place
Monitor portion control, wastage, and stock rotation
Ensure cleanliness, HACCP compliance, and consistent food presentation
Step in for the Head Chef when needed

This is a live-in position, ideal for a motivated chef ready to take on a leadership role in a beautiful bushveld setting.
