SUMMARY:
New role is available for an Auto Electrician for our client in the truck industry, based in Kraaifontein CPT.
POSITION INFO:
Diagnose and Troubleshoot
- Systematically perform complex fault diagnostics.
- Monitor and support the repair process.
- Carry out final checks and conduct handover to the customer, if necessary.
- Support workshop colleagues in performing systematic fault diagnostics.
- Document diagnostic results accurately.
Knowledge Sharing
- Inform colleagues of technical innovations.
- Share important information relevant to fault diagnosis and workshop operations.
Conduct Inspections
- Perform visual and/or on-board diagnostic inspections during the pre-diagnosis phase.
Work Preparation
- Receive and review the workshop order for accuracy and clarity.
- Locate the vehicle and move it to the appropriate workshop bay.
- Use standardized checklists to ensure accurate and documented execution of each pre-diagnosis step.
Parts Administration
- Request necessary parts according to internal procedures.
- Tag and transfer all warranty-related parts to the warranty department for storage.
Repair and Maintenance
- Prepare tools and bring required parts to the work area.
- Conduct visual inspections, calibration, and adjustments.
- Identify and report deviations, irregularities, or unusual wear and tear.
- Initiate additions to the job order or provide feedback to the customer as needed.
General Support Tasks
- Ensure accuracy and high quality of all work performed.
- Assist and advise workshop staff in locating technical information.
- Use diagnostic equipment and systems to update software and perform parameterization.
Minimum Requirements: - Diesel Auto Electrician Trade
- Minimum 5 years experiences in similar role
- Code 10 - 14 license with PDP
- Read and Write in English
- Technical expertise, understanding and knowledge
