SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper for our client in the Automotive Industry, based in Coega, EC.

POSITION INFO:
Duties:

Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance.
Develop system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts, defining bookkeeping policies and procedures.
Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.
Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries.
Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
Defining various product and operational costs.
Maintains historical records by filing documents.
Preparing all inventory-related journal entries
Prepares financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing account information and trends.
Complies with SARS and local legal requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.
Reconciliation of bank and petty cash.
Balance Sheet reconciliations
Assistance with month end reports
Developing depreciation schedules
Timeous capitalisation of fixed assets
Processing of invoices
Reconciliation of creditors accounts to statements
Preparation and payment of creditors
Reconciliation of intercompany balances

Requirements:

Certificate or diploma in business administration or
accounting ort bookkeeping
Experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar position.
Deep knowledge of the creditors and debtors’ functions and bookkeeping principles.
Knowledge in SAP Business1
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing
software.
Excellent communication skills, both written and
verbal.
Strong critical thinking skills.
Strong planning and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently.
