Business Analyst

SUMMARY:
Job Purpose:

• We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Business Analyst to join our IT team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be based full-time in our Cape Town office and will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technological solutions. You will be responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and translating business requirements into clear, actionable specifications for our IT development teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from various stakeholders, translating them into functional and non-functional specifications for IT systems
• Conduct in-depth analysis of existing business processes and systems to identify inefficiencies and propose optimized solutions
• Collaborate closely with IT development, quality assurance, and project management teams throughout the software development lifecycle
• Facilitate workshops and meetings to elicit, define, and refine requirements with business users and technical teams
• Create detailed documentation, including use cases, process flows, wireframes, and data models
• Support the testing phase by reviewing test cases and validating that implemented solutions meet business requirements
• Act as a liaison between business units and the IT department, ensuring effective communication and understanding of requirements and solutions
• Contribute to project planning, risk assessment, and change management activities

• A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
• A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst within an IT department, preferably in a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)
• Must be based in Cape Town and willing to work full-time from the office
