JOB SUMMARY:
A dynamic software company is looking for a Business Development Executive to join their versatile team in sales in their Centurion.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Manufacturing Business Development Executive will gain New Business and Grow Sales Revenue in the designated Geographic Territory, whilst establishing and nurturing relationships with Senior & Midlevel Management of both New and Existing customers.


The primary duty is to sell business applications software/solutions and related services to prospective and existing customers by following defined Sales Processes and accurately forecasting deals within the Sales Pipeline whilst capitalizing on various internal resources to further promote the business value and proof of concept in an endeavor to secure and win business and reach Targets.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge and experience in the CNC machining environment and will have the ability to use CAM software to program machinable parts.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain good knowledge of Products through ongoing E-Learning and participation in Coaching or Training Events.
  • Hold Discovery Meetings with Existing and Prospective Customers.
  • Frequently Update and Maintain CRM (Accounts, Contacts, Leads, and opportunities).
  • Develop New Leads and Opportunities through Prospecting and Cold Calling Activities.
  • Prepare Weekly Feedback on Opportunities and Participate in internal Sales Meetings.
  • Collaborate on Opportunities with Internal Stakeholders and Partners as required.
  • Support and execute Sales and Marketing Campaigns or Promotions.
  • Maintain and Nurture relationships with New & Existing Customers.
  • Participate in Marketing & Sales coordinated Events as Required.
  • Follow up on all Nurtured Leads and Open Opportunities – CRM.
  • Perform general administrative duties related to the role.
  • Follow up on outstanding Payments on Orders received.
  • Promote Products and Services to potential customers.
  • Hold Weekly EOS meetings with Inside Sales Assistant.
  • Qualify and follow up on all Marketing Leads.
  • Achieve Targets and Increase Sales Revenue.
  • Prepare Sales Proposals and Quotations
  • Sells add-on software to customers over the phone, via online demos, and in person.
  • Renews and adds software subscription membership among current customers.
  • Supports Regional Sales Manager/ Product Manager throughout the sales process:
  • Needs analysis.
  • Product demonstrations
  • Benchmarks
  • Site visits
  • On site tests
  • Responsible for customer care for all customers within the territory/Assigned Customers.
  • Participates in local and national Trade Shows.

Position Requirements:
Formal Education & Certification
  • Gr12
  • Diploma in Information Technology, Project Management, Sales and Marketing, Business Administration or Engineering

Knowledge and Experience
  • 2 Years External Sales Experience - (CAD, CAE, Database, or similar software sales - advantageous)
  • Computer Literacy and advanced use of Microsoft Applications - Mainly Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.
  • Experience using Cloud CRM software - Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.
  • Selling, Presentation, and Negotiation Skills
  • Sales Projecting and Forecasting skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving sills
  • Strategic Account Development
  • Customer Experience driven

Other requirements
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Fluency in both English and Afrikaans (African Languages or French-speaking – advantageous)
  • Knowledge of CAM software (Mastercam, Edgecam, Other)
  • Knowledge of CNC machines and CNC workshops
