POSITION INFO:
A forward-thinking company in the renewable energy sector is expanding its reach into commercial agriculture and is looking for a Business Development Manager with strong sales acumen and deep understanding of the Agri industry. This is your opportunity to work at the forefront of sustainable energy, helping large-scale farming operations secure long-term energy security and cost savings through tailored solar solutions.

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

â Minimum 3 years of B2B or technical sales experience, ideally within the agriculture or renewable energy sectors
â Based in Pretoria with a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to remote sites
â Proven ability to engage with farmers, agri-businesses, and rural commercial clients
â Matric (essential); relevant technical, business, or agricultural qualification preferred

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Strong knowledge of the challenges facing commercial agriculture, especially around energy and infrastructure
Ability to research, approach, and build trust with large-scale agri clients
Comfortable presenting custom solar proposals and navigating client decision-making processes
Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a consultative, problem-solving approach
Familiarity with CRM tools and ability to manage a long sales cycle
Experience working independently and contributing to a collaborative sales team
