SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst who can convert company data into actionable insights by collecting, analysing, reporting, and visualising it, which supports informed decision-making and ongoing business operations.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:

Collaborate with data stakeholders and business stakeholders to identify and gather relevant data sources and integrate data from various ICT systems.
Design, develop and maintain interactive dashboards that monitor relevant metrics.
Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies; and translate data findings into actionable insights that support business decision-making.
Leverage BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Grafana) and scripting (e.g., SQL, Python) to automate routine reporting tasks.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Intelligence, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Statistics or a related quantitative field.

Required Experience:

At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in data analysis, reporting, or BI development.
Experience analysing large datasets to extract actionable insights and creating and maintaining reports and dashboards using tools like Power BI, or Grafana.
Familiarity with ICT environments, including network topology, systems, data flow.
Hands-on experience with BI platforms and data visualisation tools.
Exposure to ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools.

Recommendations:

Technical Certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (Power BI), Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP), and/or Azure or AWS Data Analytics Certifications.
Advanced Technical Skills, such as Experience with cloud-based BI environments, Proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation, and experience with scripting for data cleaning, transformation, or API integration for data extraction from systems.
Business Acumen & Communication, such as a strong ability to translate technical data into business value, experience presenting insights to executives or non-technical stakeholders, and a high level of data storytelling and visualisation design skills.
