Buyer, with Accounts Payable experience

Our client, a well-established manufacturing company, is looking for an experienced Buyer to join their team. This opportunity is ideal for a procurement professional who combines strong purchasing expertise with a solid Accounts Payable / Creditors background.

POSITION INFO:
🔹 Key Requirements

✔ SAP experience is ESSENTIAL

✔ Coupa experience is advantageous

✔ 3 – 5 years' experience in Purchasing / Procurement within a manufacturing environment

✔ Strong Accounts Payable / Creditors experience

✔ Proven supplier management and negotiation skills

✔ Advanced Excel and reporting capability

✔ Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills

✔ Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

🔹 Key Responsibilities

🛒 Manage purchase orders, supplier relationships and procurement activities

📦 Forecast purchasing requirements based on production schedules and stock levels

📊 Analyse supplier costs and identify cost-saving opportunities

💰 Manage pricing, PPVs and supplier quotations

📈 Prepare weekly spend reports and monthly supplier cost analyses

🚚 Coordinate deliveries and arrange transport where required

🤝 Develop supplier relationships and evaluate alternative supplier options

🔄 Manage subcontracting processes and negotiate pricing

🖥 Maintain accurate pricing and purchasing information on SAP

📋 Manage SAP reporting for stock items and Coupa reporting for non-stock items

💬 Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding Accounts Payable queries

🏭 Work closely with Production and Planning teams to ensure continuity of supply

⭐ Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

⭐ Commercial awareness and a cost-conscious mindset

⭐ Confidence working across Procurement, Finance and Operations teams

📍 Manufacturing Industry Experience Preferred
