CAPEX CONTROLLER

SUMMARY:
Dar Es Salaam Area – Tanzania: Our client is looking for a Capex Controller to join the team.

 
The main objective of the role is to create and maintain a transparent economic structure that allows to control over the financial flows of the department at the required level of detail. Ensure efficient spent of the company's funds in accordance with approved budgets and policies.

POSITION INFO:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Higher economic education in finance, business economics or related fields
• Studies in capital expenditure management, risk assessment, agribusiness
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in large-scale agricultural project as a financier, economist, analyst or financial consultant Proven experience leading greenfield agricultural projects.
• Experience in financial evaluation of agricultural projects.
• Experience in managing CAPEX and OPEX.
• Advanced skills in planning and budget control.
• Understanding the following:
  • agro-industrial processes.
  • phases of investment project development.
  • functioning of global commodity markets.
  • accounting and tax principles
• Advanced user of the MS Office software package.
• Understanding the principles and skills in ERP systems.
• Analytical thinking, information structuring skills.
• Ability to solve complex problems.
• Effective communication and personnel management skills
• English (fluent, professional level required to interact with directors, suppliers, and technical partners).
• Ability to speak Russian & Swahili (desirable, not mandatory)
• Willingness to undertake occasional missions to rural areas of Tanzania
• Knowledge or openness to work under environmental/social certification standards (RSPO, Rainforest Alliance, etc.).
• Objective and open-mindedness in dealing with issues across the business.
