We are looking for a confident, driven, and people-oriented Candidate Sourcing Associate to join our high-performing team at Salix Recruitment.

This is a fast-paced external recruitment environment, not an internal HR role, and is best suited to someone with a background in sales, recruitment, or marketing who thrives under pressure and is motivated by targets, performance, and results.

As a Candidate Sourcing Associate, your role focuses on identifying, engaging, and qualifying top talent for our client briefs. You’ll work closely with our Recruitment Consultants and Business Development team to deliver quality candidates who meet both the technical and cultural requirements of each opportunity.

Duties:

Create and manage job adverts on LinkedIn, Pnet, social media, and other platforms.
Proactively headhunt candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, databases, and cold calling.
Conduct market research and industry talent mapping to support future hiring needs.
Screen and interview candidates to assess technical skills, career goals, and cultural alignment.
Prepare shortlisted candidates for interviews with detailed briefings on clients and expectations.
Manage ATS records (Placement Partner) and ensure all documentation and feedback is up to date.
Support compliance, reference checks, interview scheduling, and candidate aftercare.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications

Matric (Grade 12)
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Psychology, Sales, or a related field.

Experience

2 - 3 Years proven experience in external recruitment, sales, or similar position.
Strong understanding of recruitment sourcing techniques and candidate assessment.
Ability to work in a target-driven environment and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Confident and articulate, with the ability to handle objections, maintain credibility, and communicate effectively across all organisational levels.
Sales competent and resilient, demonstrating self-motivation, a competitive spirit, and the capacity to handle rejection while maintaining a winning attitude.
Organised and proactive, with strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under pressure.
Positive and team-oriented, bringing energy, drive, and a collaborative approach to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
