SUMMARY:
As COO, you will be responsible for optimizing the management of the company’s leadership team, assets, daily operations, implementing strategic plans, and delivering performance.
Primary responsibilities:
- Senior management: Lead a management team, set strategies and objectives and oversee daily operational functions
- Relationships: Manage collaborations with partners, suppliers and stakeholders
- Staff development: Foster a work environment that encourages ownership and growth
- Pack houses: Oversee optimal and effective processes, ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards
- Marketing: Develop strategies to increase sales and strengthen the brand, working with sales departments to explore new markets
- Logistics: Manage the transport, storage and distribution of products to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
- Technical department: Collaborate with the engineering team
- Packaging materials: Control stock and costs of packaging materials, ensuring client specifications are met
- Performance monitoring: Analyse management information and propose improvements
- Expansion activities: Participate in investments, acquisitions and corporate alliances
- Other: Ensure integrated and efficient operations while maintaining compliance with internal policies.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in a similar leadership role
- A proven management track record with in-depth knowledge of financial management, strategic planning, and risk management
- A relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in one or more of the following fields: Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering.
- An MBA qualification will be advantageous
- A passion for agriculture is essential.
