Civil Engineer

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Engineering Consulting industry is seeking a qualified and skilled Civil Engineer to join their team in the Eastern Cape.

Contract is for 3 years and renewable thereafter

POSITION INFO:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following Technical Duties

• Design and Project Management of Civil Engineering Projects
• Provide Leadership and Mentorship to Junior Staff members

• Management of Engineering projects from Stage 01 to Stage 06
• Defining and Understanding project scope and deliverables, and managing the submission of competitive proposals
• Planning and management of the engineering aspects of projects in terms of scope, time, costs and quality
• Prepare contract administration documentation, Coordinate Progress and Technical Meetings with Contractors and Clients, and act as a Project Manager as and when required for engineering projects.

• Design of Municipal Infrastructure (Water, Sewer, Roads and Storm Water) including producing construction drawings
• Report Writing (Design Reports, Services Reports, Structural Assessment Reports)
• Experience in Site Supervision and Contract Administration, Experience in developing Contract Documentation (BOQs, Tender Documents and Proposals).
• Leadership, Mentorship and Training of Junior Technical Staff Members.

• Bsc Eng Degree in Civil Engineering, Professional Registration will be Advantageous
• At least 7 years of work experience within Consulting Environment
• Candidate must be experienced AutoCad, Civil 3D (IDAS) CIVIL DESIGNER
