POSITION INFO:

Non-profit organisation is looking to employ a seasoned Civil Engineer to be responsible for mentoring allocated candidates, mainly in the municipal sector

For the position you would be required to have:

B. Eng/ B. Sc/ B. Tech in Civil Engineering
Professional registration with ECSA ESSENTIAL
Around 15 years' experience in varied civil engineering disciplines
Fully conversant with ECSA's process for training engineering candidates towards professional registration

Responsibilities would include you to:

Mentor candidates during the Candidacy Phase towards professional registration with either ECSA or SACPCMP (as applicable). The mentoring support includes the civil and electrical engineering disciplines and construction project management.
Oversee mentors to ensure a consistent mentoring and report writing approach.
Quality checking of statutory council reports prior to submission.
Work with administration staff to ensure successful execution and timeous achievement of programme deliverables.
Represent the organisation at meetings with professional bodies or other stakeholders to offer advice and input regarding structured candidate training.
