Cost Accountant

This thriving meat processing and retail group is known for delivering quality products from farm to fork. With a strong footprint across factory and retail operations, the company continues to expand its reach while maintaining a high standard of efficiency, traceability, and cost control.

As the Cost Accountant, you will report directly to the Financial Manager and collaborate closely with production, procurement, and retail teams. You will take ownership of costing processes, maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), analyse production yields and variances, and provide critical insights that influence pricing and profitability across the business. Your role will bridge the gap between factory-floor activities and financial strategy, making you a key contributor to operational excellence.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Cost Accounting, Finance, or similar
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a cost accounting role within a meat processing, FMCG, or manufacturing environment
• Exposure to the Meat Matrix ERP system
• Proven experience with BOMs, waste/yield analysis, and inventory costing
• Strong knowledge of both retail and factory operations
• ERP systems experience (SAP, Syspro, or similar) and advanced Excel skills
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and operationally savvy
