SUMMARY:
Country Manager
Maputo/Matola, Mozambique (Willingness to relocate to or frequently travel to Mozambique)
R120 000 - R140 000 (Depending on Experience)

A dynamic and execution-driven Country Manager is sought to lead and grow the Mozambique operation of a regional business in the agricultural/FMCG sector. This hands-on leader will be responsible for aligning all business functions to drive profitability, operational excellence, and sustained growth, while ensuring compliance and fostering a values-based leadership culture.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

Bachelors in Business, Commerce, Agriculture, or related
MBA or Postgrad qualification preferred
8+ years in senior leadership (FMCG/agriculture ideal)
Full P&L responsibility with EBITDA delivery track record
Proven experience managing multifunctional teams in a matrix structure
MS Office, ERP/BI tools (essential)

Key Responsibilities

Lead overall operations and ensure alignment with strategic business goals
Drive commercial growth across product categories
Manage and support functional teams across sales, finance, human resources, and operations
Ensure strict compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements
Monitor business performance and implement corrective actions when needed
Represent the company in industry, community, and regulatory engagements
Drive customer satisfaction, pricing discipline, and route-to-market efficiency
Report on performance to group leadership and ensure accurate, timely reporting
Promote a high-performance culture aligned with company values
Oversee risk management, internal controls, and governance across all functions
