POSITION INFO:
Credit Evaluation Specialist – Business & Agri Lending

Your Mission:

• Conduct in-depth credit and affordability assessments on a wide range of lending applications, including commercial, agri-finance, trade finance, and structured debt.
• Analyse financial statements, cash flows, collateral structures, and client repayment capacity to make informed lending recommendations.
• Ensure that all decisions are aligned with credit risk frameworks, regulatory standards (e.g., NCA), and responsible lending practices.
• Partner with relationship managers to tailor the best-fit lending solutions for business clients.
• Drive asset book growth by spotting opportunities within ecosystems, industry clusters, and emerging sectors.
• Attend client engagements to build a deep understanding of businesses and tailor solutions accordingly.
• Participate in risk governance, including stipulating loan conditions, presenting high-risk applications, and coaching junior team members.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, or a related field.
• 5–7 years' experience in business and/or agri lending with credit authority exposure.
• Proven ability to interpret complex financial data, identify risk, and make independent credit decisions.
• Familiarity with secured lending products and the legalities surrounding collateral and recovery.
• Working knowledge of the entire credit lifecycle from origination to recovery.
