The Role: Customer Service Agent
This is a fast-paced, on-site role (with some remote flexibility) for a detail-oriented customer service professional who thrives in the betting industry. You''ll be the first point of contact for clients via WhatsApp, providing expert assistance with betting queries, odds quoting, and bet placements. Your goal is to ensure a smooth, friendly, and compliant experience for every user.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with clients via WhatsApp in a professional, timely, and accurate manner
- Quote betting odds and confirm markets using internal systems (ABETA)
- Place and process bets efficiently using the back-end platform
- Provide real-time balance updates and transaction confirmations
- Resolve account and betting queries with clarity and compliance
- Escalate unusual betting activity or customer issues to management
- Maintain accurate logs of all chats, transactions, and interactions
- Adhere strictly to UKGC regulations and company standards
- Work shift-based hours, including evenings and weekends
About You
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in gambling or online betting customer service
- Worked with companies like Hollywood Bets, Betway, BetOlimp, Play.co.za, etc.
- Strong written communication skills (fluent, professional, and clear)
- No strong accent- able to represent the UK market comfortably
- High attention to detail with strong numerical skills
- Solid understanding of betting markets, terminology, and odds formats (fractional/decimal)
- Comfortable using CRM systems and multitasking across digital platforms
- Familiarity with ABETA is advantageous (training provided)
- Cape Town-based and fully flexible to work rotating shifts (9am - 10pm, 7 days a week)
