Job Specification: Cyber Security Consultant (PS & Pre-Sales)
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Cyber Security Consultant to support their Services Division, with a focus on both Pre-Sales and Post-Sales activities. The ideal candidate will be a proactive professional who can safeguard customer data and systems by implementing robust security measures, conducting vulnerability assessments, and providing expert advice on security architectures. This role demands strong technical expertise and a customer-centric approach to deliver tailored solutions across diverse IT environments.
POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:
- Cyber Security Analysis: Evaluate customer networks, systems, and software to identify vulnerabilities and implement security measures.
- Strategic Services: Conduct vulnerability testing, threat analysis, and security checks to strengthen the customer’s security posture.
- Customer Consultation: Collaborate with IT departments to address specific cybersecurity challenges, deliver technical reports, and offer comprehensive security recommendations.
- Project Management: Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of security architectures for IT projects, ensuring alignment with both technical and business requirements.
- Security Upgrades: Regularly update and enhance security systems to address evolving threats.
- Pre-Sales Support: Engage with potential clients, scope new opportunities, and present security solutions that meet client needs.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure security practices are aligned with industry standards and regulations, such as PCI, HIPAA, NIST, and others.
Education:- Senior Certificate (Matric).
- One or more of the following certifications:
- CompTIA Security+
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional
(CISSP)
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
- GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)
Experience:- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or related IT roles.
- Proven experience in vulnerability assessments, threat analysis, and IT security projects.
Beneficial:- Degree or Higher Diploma in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or related fields.
- Additional certifications in compliance (e.g., PCI, HIPAA) and frameworks (ITIL, COBIT).
- Project Management certification or experience is a plus.
Key Skills:- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of hacking ethics, penetration testing, encryption techniques, and operating systems (Windows, UNIX, Linux).
- Programming Knowledge: Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and other relevant programming languages.
- Communication & Leadership: Ability to collaborate across teams, deliver detailed technical reports, and lead security initiatives.
- Adaptability: Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, technologies, and methodologies.
