Data Engineer

POSITION INFO:

BSc in Computer Science or Information Technology
Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in a data engineering or software development role
Strong skills in SQL
Proficient in Python, Scala, or Java
Experience with relational databases
Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
Solid with data modelling, schema design, and building scalable ETL pipelines

Beneficial Technical Experience:
Experience with Snowflake or Matillion
Exposure to NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra
Familiar with distributed systems such as Hadoop or Spark
Knowledge of Apache NiFi, Hive, Pig, HBase, MapReduce
Comfortable working on Linux, UNIX, and Windows

Key Responsibilities:
Design and build ETL pipelines for data cleansing, aggregation, and enrichment
Handle relational, unstructured, and streaming data sources
Design and manage data storage and architecture
Work with business stakeholders to define and deliver scalable data solutions
Optimize database schemas and uphold high data quality standards
Stay up to date with trends and tools in data engineering to keep delivering strong results
