POSITION INFO:
Job Purpose:
To lead and manage the overall operations of the dealership to ensure profitability, customer satisfaction, staff development, and full compliance with the brand's premium standards. The Dealer Principal will be responsible for driving performance across all departments including new and used vehicle sales, service, parts, and finance.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Operational Management:
- Develop and implement business strategies to achieve sales targets, gross profit, and net profitability for the dealership.
- Monitor and evaluate performance across all departments (Sales, Service, Parts, Admin).
- Maintain compliance with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) requirements, retail standards, and financial reporting.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Lead a high-performing team by setting clear objectives, coaching, and developing department heads and staff.
- Promote a culture of excellence, accountability, and customer-centric service.
- Ensure proper staffing and ongoing training in line with brand standards.
Customer Experience & Brand Compliance:
- Uphold the highest levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty in line with the premium brand’s expectations (e.g., CSI/VOC targets).
- Implement and monitor customer retention strategies and service excellence initiatives.
- Ensure the dealership reflects the brand's image in facility, process, and personnel.
Financial & Risk Management:
- Oversee financial controls and budgets for all departments.
- Manage expenses and stock effectively to ensure healthy cash flow.
- Ensure all risk and compliance standards are met (F&I, legal, OEM audits).
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Matric (Grade 12); tertiary qualification in Business Management or related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5–8 years in a senior dealership management role, with at least 3 years as a Dealer Principal within a premium or luxury automotive brand.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of dealership operations, financial management, and OEM requirements.
- Driver’s License: Valid Code B.
