A leader in the travel industry, is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and driven individual to join our dynamic finance team. As a Debtors Controller, you will be responsible for managing the company’s debtor book, ensuring the timely collection of outstanding amounts, and maintaining strong client relationships. You will play a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting the overall financial health of the company.

As a Debtors Controller, your responsibilities will include:

Manage the full debtors function, including accurate invoicing, reconciliations, and collections
Monitor and maintain the debtor’s ledger, ensuring payments are received on time
Handle queries related to invoices and payments professionally and promptly
Conduct regular follow-ups and issue statements and reminders
Liaise with internal departments, travel consultants, and clients to resolve outstanding issues
Prepare age analysis reports and assist with month-end reporting
Identify high-risk accounts and escalate when necessary
Maintain compliance with company policies and industry regulations

Job Experience and Skills Required:
Matric (Grade 12) is essential
A finance or credit management qualification is advantageous
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a debtors role
Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to work under pressure
