This Sector is looking for another talented professional to complement their team, in the form of a Design Engineer/Technical Lead (Municipal Engineering)

The below-listed responsibilities and requirements will be assessed during the interview stages and will further be confirmed with the relevant professional references that you currently are or have reported to in your previous two positions.

Core Purpose:

The Design Engineer/Technical Lead (Municipal Engineering) will be responsible for the management and coordination of the infrastructure design on medium sized Municipal Engineering projects.

Key Performance Areas:

• Management and Coordination of Infrastructure Design
• Adherence to Quality Management System
• Keep abreast of Technical best practice
• Prepare and Review Technical Reports
• Investigate and make recommendations on alternate solutions to engineering problems
• Conduct design reviews
• Successfully train and mentor junior engineers
• Recognized Specialist in discipline

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

• BSc/BEng/BTech
• PREng/PRTech

Experience:

• 10 years relevant experience
• Competent at Infrastructure Design for Townships
• Knowledge of Infrastructure Funding
• Competent at preparing Tender Documentation
• Competent at Construction Administration
