Objectives of this Role:
Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines on a variety of heavy vehicles and machinery

Deliver reliable, high-quality maintenance within scheduled timelines and budget constraints

Uphold strict safety, quality, and environmental standards in all repair activities

Responsibilities:
Maintenance & Repairs: Conduct routine inspections, perform corrective repairs, and carry out comprehensive overhauls on diesel engines and associated systems

Diagnostics: Utilize diagnostic tools and computerized equipment to troubleshoot engine performance issues and pinpoint faults accurately

Record Keeping: Maintain detailed service logs and parts inventory, ensuring all maintenance activities are fully documented

Team & Communication: Work both independently and collaboratively, offering clear communication with supervisors, fleet managers, and the repair team

Safety Compliance: Follow all prescribed safety guidelines and regulatory procedures, ensuring a clean and secure work environment

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven Experience: Demonstrable experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably within a fleet or heavy equipment environment

Technical Expertise: Relevant certifications or technical qualifications in diesel mechanics; deep understanding of engine mechanics and hydraulic systems

Problem-Solving: Strong diagnostic skills combined with the ability to resolve mechanical issues efficiently under time-sensitive conditions

Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with modern diagnostic tools and repair technologies, along with a keen eye for detail

Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly

Adaptability: Physical stamina and flexibility in a dynamic workshop setting, ready to tackle diverse challenges
