Diesel Mechanic

SUMMARY:
New role available in Port Elizabeth for a qualified Diesel Mechanic.

POSITION INFO:
We are seeking a qualified Diesel Mechanic for our client in the construction/solar industry in Port Elizabeth, as well as sites across SA.
This role will be a 1-year fixed-term contract.

Qualifications & Responsibilities:

• A recognized Diesel Mechanic qualification with minimum 3 years’ experience as a Diesel Mechanic with Construction Plant Experience.
• Exposure in a Construction Plant Workshop will be an added advantage.
• Driver’s license is a prerequisite.
• Experience in hydraulic and electronic technology on newer equipment and vehicles.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose and solve problems.
• Ability to work independently and function under pressure as well as maintain good people relations.
• Willing to work overtime and must have sober habits.
• Record keeping of services and repairs on all equipment and vehicles is a requirement.
