A respected employer in the industrial sector is looking to appoint an experienced Diesel Mechanic to support operations at various sites. This is a dynamic opportunity for a trade-tested professional with strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safety and precision.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic tests, servicing and repairing diesel vehicles, and ensuring optimal performance of essential mechanical systems. The role requires a keen eye for detail, technical proficiency, and adherence to safety standards.
Key Duties:
- Run diagnostic tests and analyse results
- Repair or replace engines, transmissions, steering, braking, and lighting systems
- Perform preventative maintenance on service vehicles
- Maintain accurate service records and manage parts inventory
- Follow detailed inspection procedures
- Comply with all SHERQ and PPE requirements
- Contribute to productivity and operational efficiency
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Red Seal Trade Test (Diesel Mechanic)
- Valid Code 10 Driver’s Licence
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Diesel Mechanic (trucks and LDVs)
- Knowledge of mechanical tools and repair techniques
