As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing diesel engines and related systems on a variety of vehicles and machinery. Your technical knowledge and hands-on approach will be vital in ensuring safety, reliability, and efficiency across all operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on diesel engines, vehicles, and heavy machinery.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to prioritize and manage work orders.
- Maintain an organized workshop and manage tools and parts inventory.
- Assist in training junior mechanics and promote best practices.
What We’re Looking For:- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, ideally in a lodge, mining, or heavy industry setting.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and relevant mechanical qualifications.
- A proactive and safety-conscious mindset.
