Duty Manager – Boutique Hotel | City Bowl, Cape Town

Reservations Experience Essential

Are you a hands-on hospitality professional with leadership skills and a strong background in reservations? A luxury boutique hotel in Cape Town’s City Bowl is looking for an experienced Duty Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the smooth running of front office and guest services during your shift.
Manage daily check-ins, check-outs, and guest interactions with professionalism and warmth.
Handle and oversee all reservations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and revenue optimization.
Support and guide front office and service teams, stepping in where needed.
Ensure guest concerns or complaints are handled promptly and professionally.
Monitor and uphold service standards, housekeeping readiness, and overall guest satisfaction.
Perform basic financial and administrative duties, including shift handovers and reporting.

Requirements:

Proven experience in a similar role within a boutique or 4/5-star hotel environment.
Strong reservations experience is essential – familiarity with booking systems and channel management.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Hands-on approach with the ability to multitask across departments.
Calm, confident, and solutions-focused under pressure.
Well-presented, guest-focused, and highly organised.
