You’re staying close to Hartenbos; you’re hands on and a buzzy bee… You have your 3 or 4+ yrs Duty Management exp? Then apply to this opportune position… We are looking for a Duty Manager to oversee the well-being of our guests during their visit with us, maintain a high level of host presence and ensure the overall smooth running of the resort. This is a great opportunity if hospitality is your passion. In essence, you will be acting as 1st point of call for our Guests
Duties
- Oversee Front Desk
- Supervise Front Desk staff
- Assist with scheduling of Front Desk staff
- Welcome guests
- Guest Check Ins and Check Outs (ensure sound / effective arrivals
- guests to be contacted a day before arrival
- Assist in making shuttle bookings
- Ensure high level of customer service is maintained
- Maintain clean and tidy appearance of staff
- Assist with cash, credit card and debit card payments when necessary
- Ensure a strong host presence at all times
- Deal with complaints efficiently & professionally. Ensure suitable solutions to keep guests satisfied
- Assume responsibility for the running of the Lodge in the absence of senior management
- Ensure all appliances, fixtures and fittings are safe and work in accordance with the Health and Safety regulations, reporting any faults to the Maintenance and or General Manager
Qualifications
- Grade 12
- 3-5 years relevant front of house or related experience
- 3 years solid customer service experience
The candidate with the sound self-confidence and who is wearing his / her smile with pride would eventually be considered the successful incumbent
Must:
- stay close to Hartenbos
- be hands on, must
- Own a vehicle (i.e., have reliable personal transport)
