E-LEARNING DEVELOPER/EAST LONDON – This multi-functional role focuses on the development and presentation of study material utilising rapid e Learning authoring tools, video creation software, Moodle development applications, and Adobe Suite applications. The goal of this role is to facilitate students in acquiring knowledge, skills and competencies effectively and appealingly using sound, graphic design principles
Essential work experience and minimum requirements
Minimum 2-3 years of eLearning development experience in an Academic field or other eLearning experience in a similar educational or related environment having extensive interaction with development and presentation of learning material.
Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience in Graphic design.
Relevant diploma or degree in Graphic Design, or equivalent education
Thorough knowledge of the Adobe Suite and Articulate 360.
Working knowledge of video technologies and application software.
Working knowledge of Moodle LMS.
Previous experience in applying the ADDIE model of instructional design.
Knowledge of the broader education industry.
Understanding of learning theories and pedagogy application in eLearning.
Articulate Rise with a strong focus on developing content for a mobile-first approach.
Experience in Articulate 360.
Experience with the Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Acrobat DC, Premier Pro).
H5P with focus on creating interactivity with the application in Moodle.
Excellent command of English grammar.
Experience with Animatron Wave for video creation.

Key performance areas
Core Functions include
Design and development of eLearning material
Collaborate with the Research and Development team on the conceptual design of online learning material to ensure the incorporation of academic learning principles.
Design and create engaging, effective and interactive eLearning assets. This includes:
Creating SCORM content using Articulate Rise;
Building quizzes, assessments and learning interactivities;
Incorporating video content into learning material; and
Testing of courses before their release on all devices.
Apply sound project management principles in the design, development and roll-out of online learning material, to ensure timeliness and quality expectations.
Ensure utilisation of sound learning design principles which meet the needs of teaching staff, students, the subject matter experts (SMEs) and the business objectives of the organisation.
Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) in creation of online assets and facilitate the process to ensure it meets the course objectives, is fit for purpose and for the target market.
Incorporate the iQ Academy brand and reinforce brand identity through the skilful use of graphic standards (photography, colour, typography, layout) in learning material.
Continuously build personal knowledge of eLearning, training, technology applications, and best practices with an emphasis on digital delivery.
Contribute to the achievement of a functional QMS in own deliverables.
Research & Collaboration
Work with the Research and Development team to identify and review course development and course revamp projects.
Participate in team review processes to ensure the successful roll-out and launch of courses.
Continuous reporting on progress and status of projects.
Ad hoc requirements
Any other responsibilities and outputs as required by leadership from time to time.
Support and collaborate with the Marketing team.
Support and collaborate with the Student Administration Department in creating student journey collateral.
Salary: R16 – R18k (based on experience)
