JOB SUMMARY:
Our client based in Muizenberg, Cape Town specializes in smart water treatment solutions and needs to fill a permanent vacancy for an Electrical Automation (Mechatronics) Engineer.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics Engineering preferred.
- 3-5 years’ experience in an Electrical and/or Automation Engineering position.
- Experience in automation from relay logic level, through to PLC and SCADA development.
- Experience in project management with specific reference to schedules and budgets.
- Experience in water and wastewater industry preferred.
- South African EE candidate (black or coloured female, black or coloured male, white female).
- Driver’s license and passport.

Duties:
- Design of LV electrical circuitry.
- Generation of electrical schematics.
- PLC programming and HMI development.
- Generation of equipment lists.
- Procurement of electrical components and instrumentation.
- Oversee panel building.
- Perform fault finding.
- Perform Quality Control inspections as appropriate.
- Electrical testing, installation, and commissioning of water and wastewater treatment plants both in-house and on-site.
- Provide support to Business Development, Engineering, and Operations teams as required.
- Project documentation generation.
- Travel nationally and internationally depending on water and wastewater treatment project sites.
