Electrical Engineer

SUMMARY:
We are working with a client in the renewable energy sector who is currently undertaking a large-scale solar project. They are seeking the expertise of a qualified Electrical Engineer to join their project team based in George.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the electrical components of solar PV installations.
• Ensure that all electrical work aligns with technical specifications, quality standards, and safety compliance.
• Perform on-site inspections and resolve electrical issues that arise during installation and commissioning.
• Work closely with contractors, Engineers, and Project Managers to maintain timelines and deliverables.
• Compile and maintain accurate project documentation, including reports and as-built drawings.

• BTech or BEng in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience on utility-scale solar PV or similar electrical infrastructure projects.
• Preferably has worked on a utility site and is familiar with method statements, Quality Control Plans (QCPs), and construction documentation processes.
• Strong understanding of electrical design, installation, and commissioning practices.
• Ability to work on-site in George for the duration of the project.
• Experience with MV/HV systems will be advantageous.
