Engagement Lead/Project Manager

HIS POSITION WILL OFFER EXPOSURE TO THE FOLLOWING • Cutting edge technologies • Mining Processes & Optimization • Multipurpose team Project Management • A multitude of business domains (Mining, Applications development, Optimization Implementation) JOB PURPOSE • To be part of a team to design, test, analyse and report on new Mining Equipment • To implement the SIMS system, guided by the delivery roadmap. RESPONSIBILITIES, ACTIVITIES AND KEY DELIVERABLES • As part of the New Mining Technology team o Be part of the team to develop a concept machine or mining method, out put a URS (User Requirement Specification) o Develop a conceptional business case o Assist the team to motivate a budget for the machine manufacture and trials o Develop with the team a PEMS document (Project Execution Method Statement. Includes KPI’s and project success criteria) o Conduct time studies / analysis on the machine and system. o Develop reports against timelines, URS and PEMS document o Project closure report and recommendations Provident Fund Included in CTC Salary Medical Aid Included in CTC Salary Cell phone No Cell phone allowance Can claim if agreed with Director Company Tablet / Laptop Yes Travel Allowance May claim expenses for specific travel • SIMS (Short Interval Management System) o Assist with configuring and implementation of the system o System training of employees o Develop reports from the system for use by Mine Management JOB SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Qualifications • Engineering Degree / Diploma is required (E.G.Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical) • Project Management - Essential. • Software / Systems implementation - Ideal. Experience At least 5 years with: • Previous Mining Exposure • System optimisation Exposure • Project Management Exposure • Good knowledge of data analytics and reporting • Excellent computer skills, Excel, MSWord, PowerPoint and PowerBI (Power BI is an interactive data visualization software developed by Microsoft with primary focus on business intelligence). • Good communication in English. Other languages will be an advantage. NOTE: A lot of Afrikaans is spoken on the mines.
