Engineer – Server & Storage

POSITION INFO:

RMV Solutions is recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading provider of enterprise IT infrastructure solutions. We’re looking for an experienced Server and Storage Engineer to join their Cape Town-based team.

💼 Role Overview
You’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting server and storage infrastructure for both internal and client environments. This includes deploying technologies from Dell, HPE, Huawei, and other supported vendors, while ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability.

🛠 Key Responsibilities
Design, configure, and maintain server, SAN & NAS solutions
Monitor infrastructure performance and resolve hardware/software issues
Implement backup and disaster recovery integrations
Provide client support, training, and escalation assistance
Maintain documentation, reports, and vendor compliance
Collaborate across engineering, sales, and project teams

Requirements

🔍 Key Requirements
✅ Minimum 5 years’ experience in server/storage implementation and support
✅ Hands-on experience with Dell, HPE & Huawei technologies
✅ Strong knowledge of virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V)
✅ Relevant IT degree and certifications (e.g., Dell EMC, HPE ASE/ATP, Huawei HCIA/HCIP)
✅ Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and customer service skills
