SUMMARY:
Seeking an Open Cast Mine Manager/Engineer to provide engineering expertise, guidance and technical assistance in order to ensure optimum productivity at the most advantageous cost, within legislative and operational parameters and objectives, by implementing sound engineering practices and tactics. This includes the overall management of a staff of Engineers, Technicians and other personnel.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

BEng / BSc Eng (Mechanical or Electrical) Degree or equivalent qualification with a Masters in Business Administration / Management, & GCC, is essential and non-negotiable, with experience in Mining
Demonstrate an understanding of good engineering practices and the implementation of proactive maintenance strategies
Knowledge of integration between mining and engineering systems
In-depth knowledge of relevant Lesotho Mining Legislation
Exposure to design and verification of standards in area of profession
Knowledge of business improvement and management principles
Project management methodologies and/or practices
Asset management principles and practices
Mine Health and Safety Act
Labour legislation
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project Scheduler
Computer-based planned maintenance systems
Knowledge of the practical application of engineering measuring instruments for mechanical and electrical measurements
