An esteemed research and development organisation is seeking an experienced Executive Manager: ICT to drive operational excellence and innovation through strategic ICT leadership. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a forward-thinking ICT strategy aligned with the organisation’s overall goals
• Lead ICT governance to ensure compliance with legislation, best practices, and vendor agreements
• Manage all ICT operations, including infrastructure, networks, enterprise systems, cloud solutions, and data management
• Drive innovation by introducing cutting-edge technologies like AI, machine learning, and big data analytics
• Support research and technical divisions through advanced ICT solutions and collaborative technology initiatives
• Oversee resilience planning, including disaster recovery, system stability, and cybersecurity readiness
• Promote a high-performance culture through strong leadership, performance management, and change enablement
• Implement robust data tools and ensure effective data storage, processing, and retrieval to support scientific research
• Maintain strategic partnerships in HPC, research computing, and emerging technologies relevant to mining and materials science

Minimum Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in a relevant ICT field (PhD preferred)
• Minimum 10 years’ ICT experience, including 5–7 years in a senior leadership role
• BSc and Postgraduate Diploma/Honours in ICT or related discipline (essential)
• Proven experience in digital transformation, strategic ICT planning, and project execution
• Demonstrated knowledge in cloud computing, AI, machine learning, and big data
• Strong stakeholder engagement and people leadership capabilities
• Background in research or science-focused environments will be advantageous
